The World Education Forum, 18-22 May 2015, was held in Incheon, Republic of Korea. The Forum adopted on 21 May 2015 the Declaration on the Future of Education. The Incheon Declaration was welcomed by the global education community, including government ministers from more than 130 countries, non-governmental organizations and youth groups. The declaration is a transformative vision for education over the next 15 years, it encourages countries to provide inclusive, equitable, quality education and life-long learning opportunities for all. The Incheon Declaration underpins the education targets in the Sustainable Development Goals that will be ratified at the United Nations in September 2015.
