Today, I'm going to show you the upgraded Wyze cam version 2. I reviewed the original one a while back and now they released their second version with software and hardware enhancements. The price of this WiFi security camera is around $26 bucks for a 1080p camera which I think is one the cheapest WiFi camera around. So, will check out the features first then show you the updates that Wyze did to this second version of their camera.

First.. this is a 1080p camera recording at 15 frames per second, it has a 110° field of view and has 8 times digital zoom, it has 2 way audio, motion detection with push notifications to your smart phone or tablet when it senses motion, it has night vision with 4 infrared LEDs at 850 NM and with an IR cut filter. It has both local storage for your videos using a micro SD card and supports up to 32 GB or you can choose the free 14 day rolling cloud storage for your alert videos. It has an operating temperature of 32° to 104° F.

The differences as per Wyze is the motion tagging which detects and highlights motion captured.
There is also improved image quality due to a new CMOS sensor
The version 2 also has better sound as compared to the version 1.
and it has a matte finish as compared to the glossy finish on the older one.

What Wyze didn't mention is that the version 1 only records at 10 fps and the version 2 is now 15 fps.
Then we have the Infrared LEDS which the Version 1 only has 2 and the new version has 4. I'll show you later on what can 2 extra LEDs can do to your footage.

Today, we will be checking out the Ring Stick up Cam, the battery powered version. I did the review and some comparison videos of the wired version of the Stick up cam a few weeks back and I'll be including the video links down below if you want to check them out.

This battery version also can be hooked up to a solar panel so that the battery can be constantly topped off and you will not need to recharge or replace the battery whenever it runs out. Ring states that the battery can last up to 3 to 6 months depending on usage.

At only $30, the Wyze Cam Pan is one of the more affordable security cameras I’ve reviewed, but that doesn’t mean it skimps on quality. On the contrary, it features 1080p HD video, a nice field of view of 120 degrees, and the ability to zoom in eight times, crushing industry standards. It also has infrared night vision from six LED lights, which I prefer over bright white lights, two-way audio, free local and cloud storage for 14 days, plus integrations with Amazon Alexa and IFTTT.

So what is the Wyze Cam Pan missing? Well, it doesn’t have person detection, so you might receive some unnecessary notifications from your dog, cars, or any other moving objects. The camera does, however, have smart sound recognition for smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, turning your regular monitors into smart ones. You’ll monitor everything from the Wyze app, which currently has ratings of 3.5 from both iPhone and Android users. This is an indoor camera for the books!

Today I'll show you guys the Ring Spotlight camera - the battery powered version. I went and bought the bundle that includes the solar panel so that the battery will be continously charged. I will show the unboxing, the features, setup, installation, settings and some video footage at the end.

Now, I also have the wired version of this Spotlight Camera which I liked and it is permanently monitoring my back patio. I want another camera that will monitor my backyard but there is no power outlet nearby so I waited for the battery version to come out and see if it stacks up to it's continuously powered brother.

Now, let's talk about features. So this camera is battery powered which supposedly will last 6-12 months before it needs recharging.
It has 1080p HD video and has 2 way communication.
It has a wide angle lens with 140 degree field of view.
It has a PIR sensor for motion detection and is adjustable
It has a manually activated 110 decibel alarm
It has a LED motion activated Spotlights - now, this is somewhat misleading though because this is far from being a spotlight..this has more of a diffused light which is not really bright - 700 lumens according to Ring.
It is weather resistant -20 to 120 degrees
It is a Wifi camera and only connects to a 2.4 GHz Wifi.

The 1080p HD video comes through crystal clear on the Nest Cam Indoor. The digital zoom is useful and it comes with a solid 130 degree field of view.

The 2 way audio on the Nest Cam works well and even has a chime that alerts the people in the room that you are about to speak. It's a useful feature as you can talk to people in the room as you actually see them.

The Night Vision on the Nest Cam is more than adequate. Let's you know exactly what is going on.

The Nest does not have any local storage options, but it does have cloud storage out of the box of 24 hours. It also comes with various options for cloud storage if you sign up for the Nest Aware program. With lack of local storage, we only gave the Nest Cam Indoor half marks.

As a company of Google, the Nest Cam Indoor integrates with Google Assistant seamlessly. It is extremely easy to shoot your video to a Google Chromecast and control it with a Google Home or Google Mini.

The Artificial Intelligence on the Nest Cam Indoor is limited to person detection, but can significantly improve the user experience.

The Nest Cam is a bit spendy, but we still gave it full marks for its value considering its functionality and integration with the Google ecosystem.

The Nest Cam literally took us 5 minutes to setup. We went a bit further in-depth on the setup in our unboxing video, however, it was extremely convenient to set up facilitated by the app.

The Nest App is minimal and intuitive. It made the entire process easy and is simple to just jump directly into a live stream.

The camera needs some improvement in its motion tracking feature and simplifying the process of utilizing its PTZ automation. But overall it's a solid offering with a lot of features for a low price. I like that it doesn't have any ongoing subscription fees either.
