Якутия – один из самых незаселённых регионов планеты. Благодаря этому природа сохранила здесь свою первозданность.
Мы отправляемся в путешествие вдоль одной из северных рек, под названием Мархара, вблизи полярного круга, куда можно добраться только на специальной технике повышенной проходимости. Охотимся и рыбачим, перемещаясь вниз по течению реки. Вместо запланированных 10 дней в тайге нам приходится задержаться на неопределённый срок из-за резкого повышения уровня воды после дождей и снегопада. Закончились продукты и пришлось перейти в режим выживания за счёт рыбалки и охоты. Но всё прошло благополучно.
FAQ:
•В Якутии я вырос и прожил бОльшую часть жизни, а не просто приехал порыбачить.
• Сети НУЖНО брать в такие поездки, как страховку выживания, как и спутниковый телефон, навигатор и ружьё. В экстренной ситуации можно рассчитывать только на себя. Помощи ждать не откуда в таких труднодоступных местах.
• Во всей Якутии отличная рыбалка всегда и везде - МИФ. Рыба чувствительна к переменам погоды, а иногда просто уходит вниз по течению, когда река мелеет к зиме.
• Если бы ловилось на спиннинг, не пришлось бы мучаться с лодкой и сетями в ледяной воде. Просто гуляли бы себе со спиннингами и получали удовольствие.
• Почему не взяли еду с собой? А зачем тогда вообще ехать в тайгу? На пикник? Сколько килограмм еды нужно двум мужикам на две недели?
• Был выписан и оплачен штраф за сети, когда инспектор случайно нашёл это видео на YouTube.
• Рыбы было поймано ровно столько, сколько и съедено. Не на продажу ловили.
• Собака обычная моя домашняя любимая, не обучена добывать дичь и т.д. Брал её везде с собой, чего ей дома сидеть да и оставить не накого.
• Чем убитая мной собственноручно утка или пойманая сетью рыба так возмущают некоторых комментаторов?
Вы считаете, на прилавки магазинов рыба и птица попадают более гуманно?
• Видео создавалось для домашнего просмотра "на память" об одной из моих последних поездок по тайге, прежде чем я покинул родную Якутию.
• Снаряжение, вездеходы, лодки, снегоходы, навигаторы и прочее - у нас этим забито доверху несколько гаражей. И покупалось это не в один день, а на протяжении нескольких десятков лет моим отцом, старшими братьями и их друзьям.
• Этот вездеход был нашей давней мечтой, которую осуществили, когда намучились с самодельными вездеходами, старыми геологическми танкетками и прочей рухлядью, которая может подвести вдали от дороги, что бывало часто.

The belief in learning styles is so widespread, it is considered to be common sense. Few people ever challenge this belief, which has been deeply ingrained in our educational system. Teachers are routinely told that in order to be effective educators, they must identify & cater to individual students' learning styles; it is estimated that around 90% of students believe that they have a specific learning style but research suggests that learning styles don't actually exist! This presentation focuses on debunking this myth via research findings, explaining how/why the belief in learning styles is problematic, and examining the reasons why the belief persists despite the lack of evidence.
Dr. Tesia Marshik is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Her research interests in educational psychology include student motivation, self-regulation, and teacher-student relationships.

Transfer learning is a statistical technique that's been getting more attention lately that enables you to reuse a model for a different task than what it was trained for. In this episode, I’m going to show you how to use transfer learning to predict instances of gold deposits using publicly available satellite imagery. We'll discuss the 4 different mathematical ways to frame the transfer learning problem, then look into how a U-Net architecture works. The U-Net is really popular for image segmentation and classification tasks on sites like Kaggle, so knowing how it works will be a useful skill. Enjoy!

Artificial neural networks provide us incredibly powerful tools in machine learning that are useful for a variety of tasks ranging from image classification to voice translation. So what is all the deep learning rage about? The media seems to be all over the newest neural network research of the DeepMind company that was recently acquired by Google. They used neural networks to create algorithms that are able to play Atari games, learn them like a human would, eventually achieving superhuman performance.
Deep learning means that we use artificial neural network with multiple layers, making it even more powerful for more difficult tasks. These machine learning techniques proved to be useful for many tasks beyond image recognition: they also excel at weather predictions, breast cancer cell mitosis detection, brain image segmentation and toxicity prediction among many others.
In this episode, an intuitive explanation is given to show the inner workings of deep learning algorithms.

When 50,000 of Mark Rober's 3 million YouTube subscribers participated in a basic coding challenge, the data all pointed to what Rober has dubbed the Super Mario Effect. The YouTube star and former NASA engineer describes how this data-backed mindset for life gamification has stuck with him along his journey, and how it impacts the ways he helps (or tricks) his viewers into learning science, engineering, and design. Mark Rober has made a career out of engineering, entertainment, and education. After completing degrees in mechanical engineering from Brigham Young University and the University of Southern California, Rober joined NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in 2004. In his nine years as a NASA engineer, seven of which were on the Mars rover Curiosity team, Rober worked on both the Descent Stage (the jet pack that lowered the Rover to the surface) and some hardware on the Rover top deck for collecting samples. In 2011, Rober’s iPad-based Halloween costume helped launch both his creative costume company, Digital Dudz, and his YouTube channel, which now boasts 3 million subscribers and 400 million views. His videos focus on creative ideas and science- and engineering-based pranks and activities. Rober is a regular guest on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!". Today, he does research and development work for a large technology company in Northern California, where he lives with his wife and son. In Lecture 14 we move from supervised learning to reinforcement learning (RL), in which an agent must learn to interact with an environment in order to maximize its reward. We formalize reinforcement learning using the language of Markov Decision Processes (MDPs), policies, value functions, and Q-Value functions. We discuss different algorithms for reinforcement learning including Q-Learning, policy gradients, and Actor-Critic. We show how deep reinforcement learning has been used to play Atari games and to achieve super-human Go performance in AlphaGo.

Computer Vision has become ubiquitous in our society, with applications in search, image understanding, apps, mapping, medicine, drones, and self-driving cars. Core to many of these applications are visual recognition tasks such as image classification, localization and detection. Recent developments in neural network (aka “deep learning”) approaches have greatly advanced the performance of these state-of-the-art visual recognition systems. This lecture collection is a deep dive into details of the deep learning architectures with a focus on learning end-to-end models for these tasks, particularly image classification. From this lecture collection, students will learn to implement, train and debug their own neural networks and gain a detailed understanding of cutting-edge research in computer vision.

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Blended Learning has become a catch phrase-- a buzzword for using technology in the classroom. The idea is used to describe the education system's response to the need for 21st century skills, a solution to the budget crisis in schools, and a beacon of hope for the transformation of education through individual interventions. In my talk I sharpen the idea of blended learning and offer some insight on potential successes and pitfalls of implementing a true blended model. Blended learning has enormous potential but it is not a panacea for the woes of education. Drawing on my experience in a blended classroom and as an administrator my goal is to contribute to the debate that is currently happening in our school districts, in our schools, and in our media over the incorporation of technology in education.
Monique is currently teaching in the Education Department at Ithaca College, training the newest generation of future teachers as they prepare to inspire their students. Education is her career and passion. Last year she was part of the founding team at Alpha: Blanca Alvarado Middle School, a blended learning charter school in San Jose which is integrating technology to innovate on the middle school curriculum. Prior to that she was an assistant principal, taught math and science, coached volleyball, and created an Outdoor Education Program for middle school students. Monique received her MEd in School Leadership from Harvard University and her BS in Human Development from Cornell University.

The brain does have the ability to absorb information whilst you’re asleep, as you may know from experience when real sounds from reality have entered your dream and woke you up. This works under a similar principle however the binaural beats ensure you are not woken up and that it is only the learning part of your brain that is listening to the video. Your brain has an optimal frequency for learning, (when you are totally focussed and absorb information easily), your brain also has a perfect frequency for remembering newly processed information and finally there is a frequency of the brain that allows your subconscious to absorb information whilst you sleep. In this video we use every day English conversation. It uses daily/ typical conversations between 2 English speaking people. This is a great way to help familiarise yourself with the English language and give you a good chance to learn and remember new English words. We use typical English conversation which is suitable for all levels of English speakers, from beginner through to advanced.
This will obviously help with studying for exams like, SAT, IELTS, TOEFL and Cambridge CAE and CPE. This video is great for helping you improve you own English speaking ability and perhaps identify how to use certain words and English phrases you are already familiar with and not quite sure how to use correctly.
- Binaural Beats:
Binaural beats used are: Theta 8.0 Hz, Delta 4.0 Hz, Delta 3.0 Hz. These binaural beats are claimed to improve learning, encourage sleep learning, improve our ability to remember specific places and finally to improve memory and help process newly absorbed information. The combination of these 3 specific frequencies is hugely powerful. There are played in the correct order allowing for complete processing, understanding and most importantly memorising.

Soothing background music, there is some very soft music playing in the background just to distract from the sounds of the binaural beats and to ensure you are not distracted from the words you are learning.

The images are there as a nice background, only 1 image is used as not to drain your battery or cause any buffering issues, we realise in this video actual images aren’t that important as it is more about what is being said than what you can see.
